Rose and Andy
Andy & Rose met in a recording studio in December 1995, married in 1997, moved to Llanidloes in 2000 and opened Earthlight in 2002. Both having been collectors of minerals for many years, they took the earliest possible opportunity to give up working for local government and begin doing what they really loved…
Earthlight Crystals - Hand Made in Wales
The shop itself is in a wonderful old timber frame building disguised by a later, but now very old, brick façade. The building was once a Quaker House and contained a secret attic room where clandestine meetings were held. The adjacent and famed landmark, The Old Market Hall (c.1600), is said to be some 50 years younger.
As well as all the stones and the hand crafted jewellery you’ll also find the finest hand made clothing by Hand Built, Fair Trade clothing by Bishopstone, and ethical hemp and bamboo garments for men and women from Braintree.
We have a wonderful gift range too including Star Child of Glastonbury oils, incenses, herbal products and ceramics; Native American crafts; lamps and night light holders; CDs and books; and much more.
Shopping or browsing with us is a relaxing experience and we’re always happy to advise and share knowledge with you. We are gratified that some of our customers spend an hour or more perusing our stock, making worthwhile all the hours we spend choosing it.
Where to Find Us
Llanidloes is the first town on the River Severn and is surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in Britain. It can be located on a road atlas just off the A470 between Newtown and Rhayader. The shop itself is right in the centre of the town, adjacent to the old Market Hall.
